The
460 Ford (and 429 Wedge/CJ) is much closer to the Chevrolet 454
Big Block than the 351 Cleveland shown on the previous illustration. But here
too you can see there is a 5.5° difference between the intake and exhaust
Pushrod Geometry; aptly needing a dedicated rocker arm for each to be precisely
MID-LIFT. MEI's PRO-STUD is designed for both of these engines to this
precision. The PVS BB Chevy
45 Series is also used for Ford 460 engines
because we designed it between these two angles, and for all but the most
high-end needs, does quite well for a cost effective stud mount application. See:
